Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Michael Carrick could hand Benjamin Sesko a start for Manchester United against Crystal Palace - (ES Composite)

Benjamin Sesko is back in the starting lineup for Manchester United as they host Crystal Palace today.

Sesko scored the winner on Monday night as Man United beat Everton to move back into the top four and stretch their unbeaten run in the Premier League to ten matches.

The Slovenia international needed just 13 minutes to make the difference at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after replacing Amad Diallo before the hour mark.

It is now three goals in his last four appearances for Sesko, all of which have been important.

However, the 22-year-old will be keen to show Michael Carrick that he can make an impact as a starter, and he gets that chance after Bryan Mbeumo hobbled off against Everton.

Mbeumo starts, though, and moves out to the right wing to accommodate Sesko in the line-up.

Carrick has played down the severity of Lisandro Martinez’s injury which caused him to miss the win over Everton, but is without the central defender against Palace.

This sees Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire continue their central defensive partnership in the hope of recording Man Utd’s first consecutive clean sheets of the season.

The game comes too soon for Mason Mount to make his return to the matchday squad and Matthijs de Ligt - who has not featured since the 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in the reverse fixture back in November - remains sidelined along with Patrick Dorgu.

Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace: Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Shaw, Yoro, Casemiro, Mainoo, Mbeumo, Fernandes, Cunha, Sesko

Subs: Bayindir, Heaven, Malacia, Mazraoui, Moorhouse, Fletcher, Ugarte, Amad, Zirkzee

Injured: Martinez, De Ligt, Dorgu, Mount
