Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Premier League

Michael Carrick could hand Benjamin Sesko a start for Manchester United against Crystal Palace - (ES Composite)

Benjamin Sesko is pushing to start for Manchester United against Crystal Palace.

Sesko scored the winner on Monday night as Man United beat Everton to move back into the top four stretch their unbeaten run in the Premier League to ten matches.

The Slovenia international needed just 13 minutes to make the difference at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after replacing Amad Diallo before the hour mark.

It is now three goals in his last four appearances for Sesko, all of which have been important.

However, the 22-year-old will keen to show Michael Carrick that he can make an impact as a starter and he may get that chance after Bryan Mbeumo hobbled off against Everton.

An update will be provided on Mbeumo in the pre-match press conference, though the Cameroonian, if fit, may be moved out to right wing to accommodate Sesko in the line-up.

Carrick has played down the severity of Lisandro Martinez’s injury which caused him to miss the win over Everton, but will be without the central defender against Palace.

This should see Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire continue their central defensive partnership in hope of recording Man Utd’s first back-to-back clean sheets of the season.

Mason Mount could finally make his return to the matchday squad but Matthijs de Ligt - who has not featured since the 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in the reverse fixture back in November - remains sidelined along with Patrick Dorgu.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Lammens; Dalot, Yoro, Maguire, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Amad, Fernandes, Cunha; Sesko

Injured: Martinez, De Ligt, Dorgu

Doubts: Mount, Mbeumo
