Manchester United 'will do anything' for Rasmus Hojlund and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund and 'will do anything' to land the striker, according to reports in Italy.

Erik ten Hag is desperate to sign a world-class No.9 this summer, with the Dutchman keen to improve on last season's 58 Premier League goals - the fewest in the top six. Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen had been seen as prime targets, but Financial Fair Play concerns make a move for either unlikely.

Hojlund and Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani emerged as potentially cheaper alternatives, with the former looking like the preferred option. Such is Ten Hag's admiration for the 20-year-old that Corriere di Bergamo insists he will do whatever it takes to get his man.

Reports last week suggested a £40million bid had been made for the Denmark international, with Atalanta holding out for a significantly higher fee - although that has ranged from £60-100million, depending on the outlet. Hojlund scored nine goals in 32 Serie A appearances last season.

Elsewhere, The Guardian reports that United are one of several sides to have expressed an interest in Israel under-21 star Oscar Gloukh.

The 19-year-old is currently plying his trade with RB Salzburg, having joined the Austrian side from Maccabi Tel Aviv for €7m in January. His performances for club and country have attracted plenty of interest from Europe's top clubs, with United joined by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Gloukh's Israel take on England under-21s in the European Championship semi-finals on Wednesday. The midfielder also starred for his country at last summer's European under-19 Championship, scoring four goals including one in the final against England.
