Manchester United vs West Ham LIVE
Midweek action from the Premier League concluded on Thursday night as Manchester United missed the chance to move up to fifth in the table after drawing with West Ham. Diogo Dalot’s goal shortly before the hour mark put Man Utd on their way to victory, but Soungoutou Magassa equalised in the 83rd minute to earn a big point for the Hammers.
It is now two home games without a win for the Red Devils, who despite welcoming Matheus Cunha back from injury, could not find the all important second goal, leaving the door open for the Hammers to continue their improvement under head coach Nuno Espirito Santo who is now unbeaten in three games against Ruben Amorim.
Ten days on from being booed off at Old Trafford after suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss to an Everton side playing with a man less from the 13th minute onwards, Man United supporters voiced their frustration at more dropped points at home once again at the full-time whistle. Paqueta was sent off in the closing stages of Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League after picking up two yellow cards inside a minute for dissent.
The Brazilian midfielder was unhappy after a decision made by referee Darren England and was carded for his initial protestations.

If either/both are booked against West Ham they will miss next Monday's trip to Wolves.
Could this have an impact on Ruben Amorim's team selection?

Man United mystery solved?
18:25 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneManchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is sweating over the fitness of two players ahead of his side’s Premier League match against West Ham.
Though there is a mystery surrounding the identity of the doubts as Amorim has refused to name them.
With Amorim implying the two players are key to his gameplan against Hammers, speculation has been rife on social media as to who the fitness doubts are.
On X, formerly Twitter, many United fans are adamant that captain Bruno Fernandes is one of the names in question after the midfielder was spotted clutching his hamstring against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Amorim challenges Cunha
18:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneSpeaking in the pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Ruben Amorim revealed the Brazilian is set to return to the matchday squad tonight and that he hopes to see an improvement from his summer signing.
“Matheus is good,” Amorim told reporters.
“He has more levels to go. He’s at a different club, different pressure, he was struggling because he was not scoring, he was thinking too much about the numbers but the influence he has in the team is important to us.”

Predicted Manchester United XI
18:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIt remains to be seen if Matheus Cunha comes straight into the starting lineup after Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee both scored against Crystal Palace, with a place on the bench perhaps more likely.
Leny Yoro could be handed a rest, with Noussair Mazraoui pushing for return, in an otherwise unchanged back line.
Manchester United predicted XI: Lammens; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Mount; Zirkzee.

Paqueta slams FA
18:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWest Ham star Lucas Paqueta took aim at the Football Association (FA) in an angry outburst following his sending off against Liverpool.
The Brazilian midfielder was shown two yellow cards inside a minute in the latter stages of Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat at the London Stadium.
Both were issued for dissent, with Paqueta furious after a decision made by referee Darren England. He continued to argue angrily with the official after receiving a first yellow, with team-mates Jarrod Bowen and Mateus Fernandes unsuccessful in their attempts to guide him away.
Paqueta’s repeated protestations earned him a quick-fire second yellow and subsequent red, with the player then seen sarcastically applauding as he took time to leave the pitch, also complaining to the fourth official.
Paqueta has since criticised the FA in an extraordinary outburst on social media, accusing them of providing a lack of “psychological support” during a spot-fixing investigation.

Manchester United vs West Ham prediction
17:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleynePutting the Everton result aside, Man Utd are in good form and the win over Crystal Palace should have boosted confidence within the squad.
That said, the loss to the Toffees was a stark reminder of how inconsistent the Red Devils can be under Ruben Amorim and this makes the West Ham fixture a lot more trickier than it is on paper.
While the Hammers are slowly improving under Nuno Espirito Santo’s watch, we don’t expect them to leave Old Trafford with anything.
Manchester United to win, 2-0.
West Ham team news
17:45 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWest Ham are without Lucas Paqueta after his sending-off against Liverpool.
