Manchester United vs West Ham: FA Cup prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h, odds today

Manchester United and West Ham meet tonight in the FA Cup fifth round.

It’s yet more cup commitments for United, just days after winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley, and Erik ten Hag will be feeling confident over his side’s chances of winning a second trophy in his first season.

West Ham face a tall order at Old Trafford but produced their best performance of the season with a 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest last time out to head north with wind in their sails. It remains to be seen if David Moyes will make changes with more than one eye on the Hammers’ relegation battle.

Manchester United vs West Ham team news

Erik ten Hag could be without Luke Shaw and Fred, who are injury doubts, as he considers rotating his side.

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia could all be brought into defence, with Marcel Sabitzer and Scott McTominay pushing for a start in midfield.

Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho will also want more minutes while Wout Weghorst's wait for his first goal continues. Christian Eriksen, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial are out.

West Ham have been boosted by the return to training of Kurt Zouma and Maxwel Cornet, though it remains to be seen if they are ready to play.

Danny Ings is cup-tied however, with Lukasz Fabianski set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured cheekbone and eye socket on the weekend. Vladimir Coufal is another injury absentee.

Manchester United vs West Ham prediction

Manchester United are flying at the moment and, as seen in their Carabao Cup Final victory, are even winning when not playing well. West Ham head into the game with some long-overdue confidence after a thumping win at the weekend, but I can’t see David Moyes prioritising their Premier League relegation battle.

Erik ten Hag can seemingly do no wrong at the moment and should guide United through to the quarter-finals.

United to win 2-0.
