Manchester United vs Rosenborg LIVE
Manchester United take on Rosenborg this afternoon as they continue their pre-season campaign. Today’s game takes us to Trondheim in Norway, where the Red Devils are looking for their first win of the new season. They suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat by Championship Wrexham last time out, as former academy product and ex-Reading striker Sam Smith ghosted in to notch the first and only goal of the game in Helsinki, Finland.
Michael Carrick has taken over the reins of his old employers on a full-time basis after a successful second stint as caretaker manager, having succeeded the sacked Ruben Amorim, who was dismissed in January. The match against Wrexham saw new signing Andrey Santos get his first minutes under his belt in his new colours, while those stars that did not get World Cup call-ups from their respective nations also took part.

Who is JJ Gabriel?

As it’s still very early in United’s pre-season, they will give up a lot in terms of fitness to a Rosenborg side that has already played 13 league games. For that reason, we expect an entertaining draw.

Man Utd are set to, once again, be without Benjamin Sesko. The striker missed the loss to Wrexham having failed to make a full recovery from the shin issue that saw him sit out the final stretch of last season.
Sesko is set to be unavailable for selection once again, though there is every expectation that he will be fit for the start of the Premier League season.
The same applies to summer signing Karl Darlow after undergoing a minor procedure while at Leeds a few months ago.
