Manchester United are red-hot 8/15 favourites to top Group E in this season's Europa League and Real Socidedad (2/1), their opponents on matchday 1, are their only realistic dangers.
United are on a roll having turned their fortunes around dramatically since the 4-0 drubbing at Brentford last month. The Reds sat bottom of the Premier League after two matches but, four straight wins later - two of which came against Liverpool and Arsenal - they are breathing down the necks of the top four with realistic hopes of filling one of those Champions League spots come May.
And Erik ten Hag must see the Europa League as a big opportunity to bag a major trophy in his first season. United are 15/2 second favourites (behind 11/2 favs Arsenal) in Betway's outright market although betting for this competition tends to take on a very different shape after the group stages when sides drop down from the Champions League.

Sociedad sit ninth in the La Liga table after four games but they have already faced two of the biggest sides in Spain having lost 4-1 to Barcelona and held Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw at the weekend.
The Barcelona game aside, La Real have only conceded once in three matches and there was a debut goal for deadline day signing Umar Sadiq - signed to replace Alexander Isak, in their deserved stalemate with Atletico on Saturday evening.
Sociedad came away with a point on their last visit to Old Trafford in the 2020-21 Europa League and, having won both away La Liga games to nil already this term, they look up to giving United a game, especially as the hosts are likley to make several changes to their starting eleven.

United are on a roll but it looks likely that Erik ten Hag could rotate his first eleven for this game and although he'll be bringing in international class footballers, it might just affect the overall fluidity of the team.
Sociedad have aspirations of going deep into this tournament and they created some big chances at Old Trafford early in 2021. Imanol Alguacils' side have a lot of quality and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise were they to breach the United defence at some point.
Their resilient rearguard will make life difficult for the Reds and that can earn the visitors at least a point. The Draw/Sociedad double chance looks value at 5/2.
