Manchester United vs Crystal Palace as it happened: Jean-Philippe Mateta scores twice as Red Devils slip up

Crystal Palace EPL Palace Ruben Amorim Fulham Giuseppe Muro Standard Sport FCSB Manchester United Rangers

Manchester United saw their recent good form grind to a half against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim's side had won three straight games against Rangers, Fulham and FCSB to lift the mood around the club following a difficult start to 2025.

However, they just can’t seem to shake off their inconsistent form in the Premier League. Second half goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta condemned United to yet another home defeat, this one in front of January signings Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven. To make matters worse for the Red Devils, it would appear Lisandro Martinez faces a long spell on the sidelines with a serious injury.
