Manchester United’s Women’s Super League clash with Aston Villa has been rescheduled having been picked to be shown on live TV.
The Reds' trip to the Midlands was due to take place on Saturday April 29 with a 12:30pm kick-off, but the fixture has now been brought forward a day earlier to appease TV viewership. The game will now be shown live on the BBC on Friday April 28 with a 7.15pm kick-off.
This away tie will be the last of the month for Marc Skinner's side, as he sees off Brighton and Hove Albion in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-finals on the 15th, followed by Arsenal four days later in the league; both of which are set to be played at Leigh Sports Village.
United will then travel to the Bescot Stadium for their final league fixture of April after which the Reds then have just three league games remaining.
Skinner’s side currently occupy the top spot of the WSL table but the race for the title is wide open with three other teams in close contention - current champions Chelsea are second, followed by Arsenal, then Manchester City in fourth, all within three points of each other.
Aston Villa sits fifth in the league standings, but last time out against United, suffered a 5-0 pummelling at Old Trafford in December, where Katie Zelem, Leah Galton, Alessia Russo, Ona Batlle and Rachel Williams all netted at the Theatre of Dreams.
