Manchester United U18s fixture at Blackburn Rovers has been abandoned due to heavy snow.
The young United side had travelled to Brockhall to face their hosts in an early kick off in the U18s Premier League.
However, after the match kicked off at 11am the fixture had to be halted by the officials as players were struggling to see the ball because of the snow.
While play was paused, efforts were made to improve the pitch conditions only for the weather to become significantly worse.
A decision was then made to abandon the match with the safety of the players and staff in mind.
United currently sit ninth in the U18 Premier League table however they have played far fewer games than the majority of those above them.
News regarding the date and kick off time of the fixture will be announced at a later date.
