Manchester United would be a better transfer for Declan Rice next summer should he leave West Ham United, according to Paul Parker.
There has been speculation over the Hammers skipper's future for a few years, with Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea all named among the potential suitors to secure his signature, while Liverpool have also been linked with a move for a midfielder.
The east London outfit have previously put a price tag of £100million on the England international which has so far warded off potential suitors from making a bid.

But this hasn't stopped pundits from believing Rice's future lies away from the London Stadium with next summer viewed as a potentially key time for the Hammers skipper, with 12 months remaining on his contract.
Should West Ham choose to cash in on their prized asset, former United defender Paul Parker believes a transfer to Old Trafford over Liverpool would best suit Rice, even though Jurgen Klopp's side are in need of a midfielder.
“I would say, now for Declan Rice, Man United could be an even better move for him with the way [Erik] ten Hag are doing at the moment," Parker told MyBettingSites.
“I think we have to rule out Manchester City, because they’ve got Kalvin Phillips now. Liverpool could be interested in him because they keep talking about their midfield.”
Parker did add that West Ham would not sell Rice in the January transfer window after the 2022 Qatar World Cup, a tournament Rice is expected to feature heavily in.
“That is an end-of-the-season deal," Parker added. "That is not going to happen mid-season. Not in a million years. That one ain’t going to work. But I think if you look in the summer, I think that is when that one could happen.”
