Manchester United could table a bid for Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana this week, according to a report.
The shot-stopper has been backed for a move to Old Trafford with David de Gea looking increasingly likely to leave after 12 years. The Spaniard is out of contract next week and is yet to sign a reduced-terms renewal.
Erik ten Hag has refused to confirm him as next season’s number one after a spate of errors that led to goals this season. As a result, he has added a new goalkeeper to his list of summer targets, along with a striker and midfielder.
United could make a formal approach for Onana, who played under Ten Hag at Ajax, within the coming days according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

The Cameroon international would not come cheap with four years still left on his deal, although Inter may be inclined to accept help with finances.
Meanwhile, ESPN claims United have enquired about the availability of FC Utrecht midfielder Taylor Booth. The 22-year-old recorded two goals and four assists last season and has two years remaining on his contract.
Booth made his United States Men’s National Team debut in March, playing in both of their Nations League as a substitute. United are looking at alternatives to Mason Mount after being left frustrated by Chelsea’s dealings regarding a transfer fee.
The Blues rejected three bids for the midfielder, who is out of contract in 12 months, the latest of which was worth £55m. Moises Caicedo - who Brighton are expecting to leave this summer - is also of interest to Ten Hag, ESPN says.
