Manchester United have already mapped out their initial plans for the summer transfer window and they are being tipped to sign three players when the market reopens.
Having allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to leave mid-season, Erik ten Hag will turn to England captain Harry Kane in the first instance as he aims to sign a long-term successor. Manchester Evening News understands he has been earmarked as the prime target for a new striker.
Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen is also being tracked by Ten Hag and key figures in the boardroom. However, due to Kane and Osimhen playing in the same position - not to mention their potential cost - United have zero interest or chance in getting them both in the quest to bolster their attacking options.

Kane only has 15 months left to run on his contract with Tottenham and much could rest on their prospective Champions League qualification. The 29-year-old has failed to win a trophy for club or country, despite being a prolific goal-getter throughout his career.
In addition to another striker, United have their eye on a central midfielder despite Ten Hag landing Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer. Frenkie de Jong, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice are on the radar, although Mason Mount has also been mooted as an alternative due to his contract situation at Chelsea.
