Shola Shoretire has scored his first goal in professional football.
The Manchester United starlet joined Bolton Wanderers on loan in January for the rest of the season and though there have been ups and downs he ended the league campaign on a positive note. The versatile forward found himself a regular starter during the first two months of his stint but lost his spot in the side after some underwhelming displays.
With Bolton's places in the Play-Offs secured ahead of the final day, manager Ian Evatt made several changes for the final fixture at Bristol Rovers which saw Shoretire come in for just his second start in 10 games. The teenager didn't disappoint and pounced on a loose ball in the area to hammer home the first goal of his career.

“I’ve always said I’ve got a massive belief in the squad and they’re all capable of stepping up to the plate. They have done that and got us the win today," manager Evatt said. “There were one or two things that need tweaking but, other than, I don’t think you can ask for much more.
“If you’d have watched Aaron Morley shoot in training yesterday you’d have known that was coming. He’s got a wonderful technique and capable of special things, so I’m pleased with him, and delighted for Shola to get his first senior goal."
Bolton ran out 3-2 winners to secure a fifth-placed finish and a Play-Off semi-final clash with Barnsley to be played on May 13 and 19. Should the Whites advance to the final then Shoretire could be involved in the final at Wembley after being cup-tied for the 4-0 EFL Trophy win at the start of April.
