Manchester United are still hoping to loan Amad out before transfer deadline day, even if Jesse Lingard joins Anthony Martial in leaving the club this month.
The French forward completed his loan move to Sevilla on Tuesday night while the English playmaker continues to be linked with his own exit, despite concerns a proposed move to Newcastle could collapse.
United would be left without two senior attacking options should both deals eventually go through — with some fans questioning who will replace the duo in Ralf Rangnick's squad.
However, it does not look like Amad will be one of the replacements, with MEN Sport understanding the club are still working hard to find him a loan club before next Monday's deadline.
The Ivorian winger would have left United on loan last summer but saw a proposed switch to Dutch side Feyenoord fall through when he suffered a training injury.
Since his recovery, the club once again planned to loan the 19-year-old out this month, though interest from club legend Wayne Rooney did not materialise into a formal bid due to Derby's uncertain financial situation.
It is believed other Championship clubs are looking to reach an agreement with Amad before Monday while Feyenoord remain keen on the winger and there is also interest from Italy, where he made his breakthrough playing for Atalanta.
United want the teenager to gain valuable match experience in the second-half of the season and any club that makes a loan offer will need to be able to guarantee meaningful minutes in a competitive league.
Amad has only made one senior appearance this season and has only been named in four matchday squads since recovering from his injury setback.
United agreed to sign the young winger from Atalanta for a fee rising to £37million on the deadline day of the 2019 summer transfer window, though he did not arrive at the club until the January window last year.
