Manchester United fans are beginning to dream of a Premier League title charge as they continue to keep pace with Manchester City and leaders Arsenal.
Sunday’s win against Leicester means the Reds are five points off top spot, albeit having played a game more than the Gunners, and three points behind City. United are the only Premier League team still fighting in four competitions with the club’s next domestic game being the Carabao Cup final this weekend.
Their ambition at the start of the season was a top-four spot and Erik ten Hag is well on his way to achieving that. United’s schedule could get increasingly hectic should they beat Barcelona in the Europa League and West Ham in the FA Cup.

But looking solely at their next six Premier League fixtures, United will be confident of walking away with plenty of points. Here are their upcoming league clashes compared with their title and top-four rivals.
Manchester United - 3rd (49pts)
Liverpool (A) - March 5
Southampton (H) - March 11
Brighton & Hove Albion (A) - March 19
Newcastle United (A) - April 1
Everton (H) - April 8
Nottingham Forest (A) - April 15
Verdict: Last season's visit to Anfield ended in a 4-0 loss but United are a totally different side this term. After a clash with strugglers Southampton, tricky visits to in-form Brighton and Newcastle await before winnable games against Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Ten Hag refuses to admit his team are in the title race but his side find themselves within sight of leaders Arsenal having played a game more. If they are to make a title charge then the next few fixtures will need to be spotless to keep themselves within touching distance. A top-four finish looks very likely.
