Manchester United’s season sparked into life with a 2-1 defeat of Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday night.
United produced their best performance in several months to secure their first victory under Erik ten Hag and down their arch rivals in the process.
While United remain in the bottom half of the Premier League table having won only one of their opening three games, it was an uplifting win that Ten Hag will hope to build on this weekend.

United return to action away at Southampton in Saturday’s early kick-off, with Casemiro potentially in line to make his debut after being unveiled at Old Trafford following the midfielder’s £70million switch from Real Madrid.
