Manchester United's full list of ins and outs after January transfer window

Manchester United's business in the 2023 January transfer window is now complete.

Although it was expected to be a relatively quiet deadline day, the news that Christian Eriksen could be sidelined with an ankle injury until May forced the club into assessing their options, which led to United pursuing a loan move for Marcel Sabitzer.

There was a nervy wait for United fans as the 11pm deadline passed without confirmation of his signing, but shortly after midnight it was confirmed that all the necessary paperwork had been filed and the deal was complete.

Martin Dubravka was also set to be loaned from Newcastle until the end of the season, but he was recalled by the North East club due to a lack of involvement earlier this month, which saw Jack Butland join on loan from Crystal Palace.

Wout Weghorst, who scored his first goal for the club against Nottingham Forest last week, was the only other arrival this month.

Here is the full list of United's incomings and outgoings after the window slammed shut.

Ins

  • Jack Butland - Crystal Palace (loan)
  • Wout Weghorst - Burnley (loan)
  • Marcel Sabitzer - Bayern (loan)

Outs

  • Di'Shon Bernard - Portsmouth (loan)
  • Martin Dubravka - Newcastle (loan ended)
  • Shola Shoretire - Bolton (loan)
  • Charlie Savage - Forest Green (loan)
  • Ondrej Mastny - Portadown (loan)
  • Charlie McNeill - Newport (loan)
  • Axel Tuanzebe - Stoke City (loan)

United will play Nottingham Forest next in the semi-final of the League Cup on Wednesday, February 1.
