Manchester United are expected to break double figures when they announce their list of released players at the end of the season.
First-team squad members Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are all out of contract next month, as is fourth-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant.
United triggered the one-year option in the contracts of Mata, Cavani and Grant last year, while the extensions in Pogba and Lingard's deals were activated last season.

Matic opted not to exercise the option of an additional year and announced his departure last month. United originally communicated he had signed a contract until 2023.
At academy level, goalkeeper Ondrej Mastny, full-back Reece Devine, midfielder Connor Stanley, as well as forward D'Mani Mellor, are out of contract.
Devine spent this season on loan at St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership and Walsall in League Two, Stanley had a stint with Atlanta United's second string and Mellor was on loan at Salford City for five months.
Stanley has already found a new club to join in the summer and final decisions are yet to be taken on Mastny, Devine and Mellor.
There is also uncertainty over whether United will trigger the one-year extension in Dylan Levitt's contract as he approaches the final month of his deal.
Levitt, 21, has been tipped to be named Dundee United's player of the year after a season-long loan in the Scottish Premiership. The Wales international appeared at the European Championship last year but his only United appearance was in the Europa League group stage defeat to Astana in November 2019.
The United academy's duty of care to departing players was widely praised in 2020 as they still allowed them access to facilities at the club's Carrington training complex. United also assist players with finding a new club.
