Manchester United are apparently set to speak with Dean Henderson about his future as Erik ten Hag mulls over his long-term goalkeeper options.
The Nottingham Forest loanee faces another three months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a thigh injury earlier this month. The shot-stopper was on the brink of a return last month before a setback forced him out for the rest of the season.
Henderson lambasted his parent club upon his temporary switch to Forest for a lack of playing time, claiming promises were broken and his treatment was “criminal”. He is set to return to United at the end of the season when he will hold talks with the club.

ESPN add that the 26-year-old has a number of admirers both domestically and abroad but Ten Hag is set to discuss his future with David de Gea’s time at the club potentially set to come to an end.
Meanwhile, United attacker Amad is apparently open to another loan move next season, albeit this time elsewhere in Europe.
The striker netted a brilliant final-day goal to help loan club Sunderland land a Championship play-off place via a 3-0 win away at Preston North End on Monday.
United still see a future for Amad at the club with Ten Hag open to including him in next season’s squad. The 20-year-old was taken on last summer’s pre-season tour before securing his loan move to the Stadium of Light.
The Sun claim that Reds officials would prefer him to continue his development on the continent to further develop his technical skills after getting used to the physical side of the game in the Championship.
