Manchester United must shut down three key Crystal Palace threats

Manchester United are in the midst of a very busy January. After defeating Manchester City 2-1 in the Derby, they only have a few days' break until they face Crystal Palace.

After that, United head to the Emirates for a top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal, so Erik ten Hag will be keen to pick up three points in midweek. Palace however will not make it easy for them. Patrick Vieira's side are a strong team and will want to get back on track after a run of three losses.

So who are the Palace players that United need to be wary of in their Premier League clash?

Wilfried Zaha

The Ivorian has been Crystal Palace's biggest threat for the last few seasons and his dribbling ability will cause problems for United's defence. Zaha has been playing on the wing and upfront for Palace this season with six goals and two assists so far.

Factor in his history with United and he will be eager to add to that tally on Wednesday night.

Joachim Anderson

The Danish defender has been a standout player for Palace since his move to Selhurst Park from Fulham last season. He provides security at the back alongside an impressive range of passing.

United will have to be wary not only of the challenge he will pose to the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial but also of how his long passing can get Palace into threatening positions behind their high back line.

Michael Olise

Olise is a talent. The 21-year-old only has one goal and four assists so far this season but he is a crucial part of Vieira's Palace side.

His ability to carry the ball forward and create space for his teammates is exceptional and he will cause problems for Christian Eriksen in midfield throughout the game.
