Ten Hag and his players returned to domestic action on Wednesday night following the World Cup with a win over Championship opponents Burnley in the Carabao Cup fourth round. Goals from Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford settled the scores at Old Trafford.
United resume their Premier League season against Nottingham Forest at the same venue on Tuesday night (8pm), with Wolves and Bournemouth to follow on December 31 and January 3 respectively. It marks a busy time for teams and managers.
