Erik ten Hag is already planning for Manchester United's showpiece matches in the coming weeks as they look to sustain momentum.

United have won their last seven games and could equal Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's eight-match winning streak as caretaker manager with victory over Charlton Athletic in the League Cup quarter-final on Tuesday.

That precedes the second Manchester derby of the season and a trip to Arsenal on January 22. United could also draw City in the League Cup semi-finals this month if both clubs progress.
