Manchester United have reportedly 'made contact' with Paris Saint-Germain as they look to make a move for Mauro Icardi.
According to Argentinian outlet TyC Sports (as per PSGTalk), United are one of the clubs interested in the striker this transfer window. Icardi has not had the best of times in Paris and has recently been training away from the squad - it is believed that a move away from the French capital interests both the player and the club.
They report that a loan deal with an option to buy is being discussed at present. The striker only managed to score four goals in 24 league appearances for PSG last season and he will be hoping that a potential move to Old Trafford could help breathe life into his career.

Elsewhere, Spanish outlet Sport (via the Express) report that United have been offered Sergino Dest by Barcelona.
The report says that Erik ten Hag is willing to send Diogo Dalot the other way in order to seal a deal with the Spanish club. The Dutchman's tactical style means that his full-backs are a hugely important part of how his sides play, and the United manager may see Dest as a player capable of meeting the standards he demands.
It is believed that Barcelona are asking for around £17million for the 21-year-old full-back. Dest, another former Ajax player, was born in the Netherlands but has represented the United States at senior level since 2019.
