Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for Lille's Jonathan David.
The 22-year-old is gearing up for the World Cup with his native Canada. Givemesport reports that a clutch of clubs, including Erik ten Hag's side, are interested in the forward and will be closely monitoring his performances in Qatar with a view to a potential move.
David has three years left on his contract with the French side but has impressed this term with nine goals and three assists to his name. The report says Spanish giants Real Madrid are also said to be monitoring David, whilst Premier League teams Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal are also said to be keeping tabs on him.

Lille are said to value David at £40m but impressive performances in Qatar - where Canada face Belgium, Croatia and Morocco - are likely to drive that price up considerably.
Meanwhile, United have also been linked with a January swoop for another France-based player. Sports Illustrated claims United are looking at a possible deal for Lyon right-back Malo Gusto. The 19-year-old is attracting interest from plenty of clubs.
United have Diogo Dalot as first choice right-back, with the Portuguese having started every single game since Ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is his backup but he is firmly out of favour and has played a mere five minutes all season.
The report says that Gusto could be the ideal option if United do consider a new addition. It adds that United are unlikely to be short of competition when it comes to Gusto's suitors.
