The agent of Denzel Dumfries has flown to England to open talks with Manchester United and other Premier League clubs, according to reports in Italy.
Dumfries has fallen out of favour under Simone Inzaghi, with the Italian preferring Federico Dimarco down the right flank. The Dutchman has been benched for both of Inter's Serie A games since returning from the World Cup, starting only in the Coppa Italia against second-tier side Parma.
United have been linked with the 26-year-old for some time, with Erik ten Hag aware of his compatriot's qualities following the pair's time in the Eredivisie - Dumfries spent three years at PSV Eindhoven before moving to Inter. The wing-back also impressed at the World Cup as the Netherlands progressed to the quarter-finals.

And now Calciomercato report that Dumfries' agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has made the trip to England to open talks with a number of Premier League clubs, with United one of said clubs. But with the player contracted at the San Siro until 2025 and Inter said to want upwards of €40million, the Reds may be inclined to look elsewhere if they cannot bring the price down.
Elsewhere, reports in Spain have suggested United could secure a late loan deal for Real Betis forward Borja Iglesias.
The Reds are still active in the market with less than a week to go, and although further additions are not a necessity, Ten Hag is said to still be open to another striker if they are on loan and warrant a small fee.
Iglesias, like Wout Weghorst before him, would be expected to provide a short-term fix before a summer of significant investment. The 30-year-old has eight goals in 16 La Liga appearances for Betis this season.
The report adds that Manuel Pellegrini's side may be willing to offload the striker in order to free up wages for investment elsewhere. Brighton, Brentford and Fulham are also named in the report as potential suitors.
