Manchester United have been handed a double boost on the selection front before their Premier League meeting with Brighton on Saturday evening (5.30pm). As they approached the business end of the campaign Ralf Rangnick and his squad had been forced to contend with a growing injury crisis.
At one stage, seven players found themselves on the treatment table, with £80million captain Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Fred, Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani all unavailable.
Fred and Cavani were welcome additions to the matchday squad against Brentford on Monday night and both players were introduced from the bench by Rangnick.

United earned a routine victory from that final home game of the season with Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo (pen) and Raphael Varane settling the scores at Old Trafford. Now, as attentions turn to their long trip to Brighton on Saturday afternoon, Rangnick has been provided with further selection boosts.
Maguire (calf) and Wan-Bissaka (knock) have both returned to training at Carrington. The two players were spotted taking part in Wednesday's session with the rest of the group.
Initially, there had been concerns they would not be available for selection again this season but Rangnick has seen his options increase before seeing out the campaign and handing over to the new manager Erik ten Hag.
