Manchester United have already banked almost £10 million in prize money alone from their run to the Europa League quarter-finals.
Despite finishing second behind Spanish side Real Sociedad in Group E, United navigated a tricky knockout round play-off tie with Barcelona and then beat Real Betis in the round of 16. The record Europa League winners Sevilla await in the last eight for Erik ten Hag's team.
The club could double their current prize pot should they win the competition. United will face either Paul Pogba's Juventus or Sporting CP in the semi-finals should they overcome a second side from Seville.

United earnt £3.18 million (€3.63m) just for qualifying for the group stages due to last season's sixth-place finish in the Premier League, and after recording five wins out of six, which were worth a combined £2.76 million (€3.15m) - £551,460 (€630k) each - a further £481,310 (€550k) for finishing as runners-up took their tally to £6.97 million (€7.96m), as per UEFA.
Another £437,00 (€500k) followed for featuring in the knockout round play-offs, and the prize money more than doubled to £1.05 million (€1.2m) after dumping out Barcelona to make the last 16. Overcoming Betis added another £1.57 million (€1.8m), taking the current total to £10 million (€11.46m).
Sending Sevilla home would see another £2.45 million (€2.8m) added to the tally while reaching the final (£4 million; €4.6m) and lifting the trophy (£3.5 million; €4m) is even more lucrative. United's total prize money from purely winning football matches could reach just shy of £20 million (€22.89m), without including the coefficient and broadcast pay-outs that will also come in.
