Bolton Wanderers will take on Manchester United's under-21s in the Papa Johns Trophy last 16 - on the same day as one of the World Cup semi-finals.
The Whites booked their place in the next round of the competition with a 3-2 victory over Barrow last Tuesday evening. Goals from Dapo Afolayan, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Elias Kachunga secured passage, the latter netting the winner after the Bluebirds had come from 2-0 down to level through Josh Kay and Niall Canavan.
Wanderers were drawn against United's youngsters in the next round of the competition. It is a home clash which will take place at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The game has now been confirmed with a date of Tuesday, December 13. The kick-off time is 7.45pm.
It will take place on the same evening as the first semi-final in the World Cup. There is the potential for England to be involved in that game, if they finish second in Group B and are in that half of the draw.
One game which must be rearranged is the home clash against Forest Green Rovers. Wanderers were due to take on the Green Devils on Saturday, January 7, but this game will have to have a new date after the Gloucestershire side booked their place in the third round of the FA Cup with victory over Alvechurch.
A new date is still yet to be officially confirmed for the trip to Fratton Park to take on Portsmouth, which was due to take place in September but was postponed owing to international call-ups in both squads. The game will now take place in 2023, with the spring a likely date.
