Manchester United favourites to sign three more players after finalising Mason Mount transfer

Manchester United are the favourites to win the race to sign three more players as they near the announcement of Mason Mount's arrival.

United have all but secured their first signing of the summer and the signing of Mount from Chelsea is expected to be announced at any moment. The midfielder confirmed he was leaving Chelsea on Tuesday night and has agreed a five-year deal with United.

Though personal terms had been settled for some time, it took United a while to agree a fee with Chelsea but the two parties finally settled on a guaranteed £55million transfer with the possibility of an extra £5million in add-ons. Erik ten Hag made Mount his top target to bolster his midfield options.

Now that the 24-year-old has been signed, attentions can turn to other pressing areas of concern. United still need to solve their goalkeeper situation as David de Gea's contract has now expired but they have yet to announce an agreement on an extension or that he is leaving.

United are looking for a new No.1 regardless and Andre Onana has emerged as a top candidate as cash-strapped Inter are looking to raise funds. The goalkeeper was excellent in the Italian side's run to the Champions League final and has worked extensively with Ten Hag before at Ajax. The Cameroonian is much better than De Gea in possession and would suit the manager's style.

United are favourites in the race to sign him according to Bet365, who have United at 8/11 to be his club come the start of next season, though any Saudi Arabian side is close at 2/1. United are also deemed most likely to sign Jordan Pickford if he leaves Everton at 7/2, but he is favourite to remain at Goodison Park.

A striker is also of chief importance for United after their meagre tally of 58 in the Premier League last season saw them finish as one of the lowest scorers in the top 10, with only Aston Villa and Fulham scoring fewer. Ten Hag hasn't had a reliable lead man at all during his first season so wants to change that and lessen the burden on Marcus Rashford.

United have been linked with many targets but with Harry Kane looking likely to stay at Tottenham, Atalanta starlet Rasmus Hojlund became an attractive alternative - well, until the Serie A side hiked the price. Ten Hag has held talks with the Dane on the phone and United are the favourites to land him at evens.

Ten Hag is also an admirer of Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, who burst onto the scene with a hat-trick in the World Cup after replacing Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting XI. Bet365 have United at 11/4 to sign him.

Elsewhere on the striker front, Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic is 8/1, Inter talisman Lautaro Martinez is 16/1 and Kylian Mbappe is at 18/1.
