Jadon Sancho came back to haunt his former employers after bringing Manchester United level against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
United fell behind after just five minutes through Kevin De Bruyne's eighth Premier League goal of the season. But the visitors, who had recovered well, drew level through a lovely individual goal from Sancho with 22 minutes on the clock.
Cutting inside from the left flank, the England international, who was drafted back into the starting line-up after being benched against Watford last weekend, danced away from Kyle Walker and Rodri before bending a right-footed effort into the far bottom corner. It was a beautiful finish from the winger and one that United's strong start to the contest richly deserved.
