Manchester United fans notice Alejandro Garnacho tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo

Alejandro Garnacho has been spotted paying his own tribute to former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the superstar's extremely public exit from the club back in November, eagle-eyed United fans spotted Garnacho wearing CR7's underwear line following his introduction against Everton last week.

It's been an impressive breakthrough season for Garnacho, with there seemingly a weight lifted off of the shoulders of the youngster following Ronaldo's departure. His latest contribution an assist during the Reds' 3-0 win over Bournemouth just seven days ago.

Ronaldo has since linked up with new club Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, signing a blockbuster contract believed to be worth more than 200 million euros.

Earlier this season, Garnacho posted a photo of himself alongside the iconic forward on his social media account, captioned: 'I don’t know if it’s real or if I’m dreaming’ shortly after he came off the bench against Sheriff Tiraspol.

Also copying his celebration multiple times during his standout performances for United's Under-18 side last season, Garnacho will hope to ensure on-field success under Erik ten Hag, with the Reds still involved in three cup competitions, as well as pushing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this term.
