Harry Maguire was mentioned in the Parliament of Ghana on Thursday.
Yes you read that sentence correctly - the Manchester United defender was used by Isaac Adongo, a member of the Ghanaian Parliament, to insult the policies of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is Head of the Economic Management Team in Ghana.
This latest insult towards Maguire comes after Iranian fans were pictured outside the stadium before their opening game with England holding a flag that said, 'It's not coming home because of Harry Maguire'.

Adongo, who was criticising the new economic policy, said of Maguire: "He was tackling everybody and throwing his body everywhere that he was seen as the best defender in the world. Manchester United went and bought him. He became the biggest threat at the centre of [Manchester United's] defence, tackling the players and giving assists to opponents."
This was not the end of Adongo's reference to the player, calling Dr Bawumia an 'Economic Maguire' because of his 'many own goals', despite the fact that in his career the 29-year-old defender has only scored one.
Maguire has hardly played this season under Erik ten Hag due to the manager's preference for both Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez but has performed well for England in their opening three matches. However, it is unlikely that this is the last time the defender catches a stray bullet.
