Manchester United 'discover' Sofyan Amrabat asking price and more transfer rumours

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat could be available for as little as £30million this summer, according to reports.

The Moroccan has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer with just one year left on his contract in Italy. The Manchester Evening News understands any arrival would be dependent on another player leaving the Old Trafford club first.

United are also monitoring Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia following their relegation from the Premier League, while Amrabat is also an option. And it has now been claimed by CaughtOffside that Fiorentina will set a price tag of between £30m and £34m for Amrabat.

The report also claims that Barcelona, who had a loan move for Amrabat rejected in January, have dropped out of the race for the 26-year-old to focus on Lavia's Southampton teammate Oriol Romeu as 'a less expensive option'.

Elsewhere, according to CBS Sports [via Metro], Scott McTominay's exit could give United the opportunity to hijack Chelsea's pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

It is claimed that Erik ten Hag might exploit Brighton's interest in the £30 million Scottish midfielder to give his side the advantage in the race to sign the Ecuadorian. Despite having reportedly previously reached an agreement on personal terms with Caicedo, Chelsea are said to be unwilling to pay Brighton's £80 million asking price.

With a goalkeeper also on their shopping list this summer, that could leave the door open for United to pounce. It is claimed that if McTominay were to be included in any deal, United could stay inside their summer spending budget of £120million.
