Manchester United will face Championship table-toppers Burnley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford.
The Reds, who last won the competition back in 2017, beating Southampton 3-2 in the final at Wembley, secured their spot in the fourth round with a 4-2 win over Premier League counterparts Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Thursday evening. After a goalless first half, the game exploded into life at both ends of the field following the interval.
After seeing Ollie Watkins' opener immediately wiped out by Anthony Martial's fourth goal of the season, Villa retook the lead just past the hour mark, courtesy of a Diogo Dalot own-goal. However, the Reds drew level for a second time just six minutes later through Marcus Rashford.

Substitute Alejandro Garnacho then grabbed two assists, teeing up Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay, to ensure United booked their place in the next round. The Reds' reward for getting the better of Unai Emery's side is a clash with Burnley in M16 next month.
The Clarets booked their place in the next round after beating League Two outfit Crawley Town 3-1 on Tuesday evening. Vincent Kompany's side recovered from 1-0 down to progress to the fourth round, thanks to goals from Anass Zaroury (two) and Ashley Barnes.
The two sides have not met in the League Cup since December 2002.
