Manchester United braced for Dusan Vlahovic competition and other transfer rumours

Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal if they are to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic next summer - according to reports.

Open to selling Anthony Martial when this season ends, United are on the lookout for a longer-term option to lead their line. Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are being tracked in that regard, while Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford for quite some time.

Juventus effectively signed him to replace Cristiano Ronaldo last January and the Serbian could well be tasked with that same responsibility once again. He cost the Italian giants €81.6million when he joined from Fiorentina and has scored 16 goals in 38 matches there.

On average, he has netted once every 147 minutes in Serie A this season, while his record for the national side reads 10 goals from 19 appearances since making his senior debut in 2020. Juve News suggests Arsenal will make an offer for the frontman, with United also thought to be tracking him at €70million.

Elsewhere, reports from Sport Witness claim United want to sign Yannick Carrasco next summer.

Carrasco, 29, has slipped down the pecking order at Atletico Madrid this term. He has scored four goals in all competitions this campaign with two assists to show from 27 games.

He has enjoyed two spells at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, but could a new challenge await? Carrasco has been capped 62 times by the Belgium national team and was part of their squad for the World Cup, while United are thought to be keen on him with a view to bolstering their attacking options.

Carrasco can also operate as a wing-back. He only has 18 months left to run on his Atletico contract.
