Manchester United supporters have been left very impressed by how their club's players are performing on the world stage. A total of 14 Red Devils stars are currently representing their countries in Qatar for the World Cup.
High-profile stars like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford have set the tournament alight in the group stage. The latter, despite starting just one game, is the joint top goalscorer in the competition and bagged twice in England’s 3-0 win over Wales.
Rashford has improved under Erik ten Hag this season and Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate is reaping the benefits at international level. Brazil enforcer Casemiro, too, has played every minute of the five-time World Cup winners’ campaign so far.

Two goals - including one originally claimed by Ronaldo - helped put Uruguay to the sword and was reminiscent of the Fernandes who first joined United in January 2020. The exploits have led the United trio to being given Man of the Match awards in their most recent outings.
Watching their players perform in Qatar is evoking plenty of optimism around Old Trafford ahead of the second half of the season.
Even Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw have enjoyed fruitful starts to the tournament. Scrutiny over the former is well-documented but the Red Devils skipper has arguably been England’s best player so far.
Raphael Varane is another defender shaping up nicely following his return from injury. From a United perspective, getting minutes at the World Cup could serve as a mini pre-season for the Frenchman.
The 29-year-old was visibly emotional after leaving the Stamford Bridge pitch due to an injury in October. A hamstring strain threatened to jeopardise his place in Didier Deschamps’ squad but Varane made a miraculous recovery and featured in the opening two group games.
