Manchester United ace Jadon Sancho told he possesses one rare quality 'managers dream of'

Former Manchester United centre-back Mikael Silvestre has admitted that Jadon Sancho is a player that most managers would 'dream' of working with - but has warned he is unsure about his best position.

The winger, who joined United from German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in July 2021, has struggled to live up to expectations at Old Trafford so far, scoring just ten goals and grabbing four assists in 63 matches. He was recruited to solve United's long-term right-wing problems but saw Erik ten Hag recruit Antony for an even bigger fee for the same position just over a year later.

Sancho, in fairness, has produced the best of his football in United colours on the left-wing, but has recently played in a central position in an attacking-midfield berth. He has shown flashes of what he could be capable of in that role, but it is felt that he is at his best when playing out wide.

Although he has struggled to nail down a regular position at United since his arrival almost two years ago, Silvestre, who played for the Reds between 1999 and 2008, is adamant that Sancho is a player who can bring an array of qualities to the table for United.

"Sancho can play three positions up front," said Silvestre, speaking to bettingexpert.com. "That's a real bonus for him and the manager.

"To be honest, it's hard to say what's his best position. I believe has those qualities that he can surprise you on either flank or up top.

"I don't think we need to put him in one box. He's a real modern forward that a lot of managers dream of."

Sancho, who spent some time in the Netherlands working with coaches recommended to him by Ten Hag during the World Cup break towards the end of last year, has scored five goals and registered one assist in 26 appearances this season. He has scored twice since being recalled to the squad at the start of last month after a lengthy period of absence.
