Liverpool could see hundreds of more students this year after Manchester Metropolitan University offered their students £100 a week to live down the M62.
The students were offered the chance to commute from Liverpool after they experienced issues with finding a place to stay in Manchester through the university's accommodation portal.
Students were also offered 'temporary options' to stay in other cities such as Huddersfield, where the university has private halls partners. Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) says the accommodation crisis has come after it had 'significantly more offer-holders than anticipated’.
