A man from Manchester described by the National Crime Agency as 'one of the UK's most wanted men' has been arrested in Portugal in connection with the murder in Tameside of father-of-two Luke 'Tank' Graham almost four years ago, police have revealed this evening.
Callum Halpin, 27, from Openshaw, Manchester, was detained by officers from the NCA in Vilamoura, Portugal, on Monday. Greater Manchester Police said he remains in custody ahead of extradition proceedings.
The force said Halpin has been sought for questioning by detectives in relation to the fatal shooting in broad daylight of Mr Graham, 31, in the Ashton-under-Lyne area in June, 2018. A 27-year-old man - named by the NCA as Anton Verigotta - suffered a serious gunshot wound. He's appeared in court ahead of an extradition hearing, said the NCA.
