Manchester has been named as the best city to flip a house - here are 10 doer-upper homes for sale

Buying, renovating and selling a home can be a great way to make money.

Also known as 'house flipping', many people are making good profits and sometimes a second source of income, by purchasing a run-down home for a cheap price, transforming it to add value and then putting it back on the market.

New research has now revealed that Manchester is the best city to flip a house in the UK.

Taking into account average house prices, number of homes sold and the average value added through renovating, our city has ranked the highest when it comes to making a profit through buying and selling property.

According to data from BestHeating, Manchester has had a 26% increase in house prices in the last five years, with the average home owner adding £19,000 value to their homes after renovating.

With this in mind, we've rounded up 10 of the best do-upper properties that are currently for sale in Manchester.

Each property is listed at a low price, with some set to go to auction.

Although they may need a lot of time and work put into them, once transformed they are certain to be good money makers.
