Co-op Live, the new £365m arena being constructed in the shadow of Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, will become one of the busiest and most important music venues in the world on the day it opens in December 2023, its boss has said.
Tim Leiweke, CEO of Oak View Group, the US firm that has partnered on the project with City Football Group, added that some artists had already been "locked down" for the first flurry of gigs.
The first events are not expected to be officially announced until September, with tickets set to go on sale in the autumn.
