Manchester Crown Court was evacuated today after the fire alarm went off.
The alarm went off at around 11.50am this morning (Thursday). People inside were told to leave the building, which sits in Crown Square in Spinningfields in Manchester city centre.
They were told to wait outside for a further update. After a short time people were allowed back in.
The Manchester Evening News understands that the alarm was a false one. Service has now resumed as normal at court.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice has been contacted for further details.
