Brentford star Aaron Hickey is reportedly a £30m target for Treble chasing Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola is plotting moves for next season and it's understood he is utterly convinced the 21-year-old possesses the traits needed to thrive at the Etihad. Guardiola wants to go 'modern' – with his new three at the back formation needing full-backs capable of playing centrally as well.
The Sun state Hickey has been identified for his ability to play in multiple positions and City have been on the Scotland international's trail since his head–turning spell in Bologna. That led to the Bees shelling out £18m for a player who is back in action after suffering injury woe earlier in the campaign and is aiming for a rousing finish to the season.
Hickey has forged himself as a key favourite at international level and has racked up nine caps as he battles with Nathan Patterson to be the country's right-back for years to come. And a move of a lifetime appears to be in the pipeline for a player who is has emerged as a bonafide Premier League start under the guidance of Thomas Frank.
