Man City striker Erling Haaland shares Champions League dream with 'pressure' claim

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has admitted that it is his 'dream' is to win the Champions League, suggesting that he will always be under pressure to deliver.

The Blues have never won the Champions League in the club's history, but went close in 2021. Pep Guardiola's side were defeated 1-0 by Chelsea in Porto, with Kai Havertz scoring a late goal for the London outfit.

With the addition of Norwegian striker Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, many people are tipping City to win the prestigious trophy for the first time this season - with several former players and pundits suggesting that the forward is the missing piece in the jigsaw.

The 22-year-old also bagged a hat-trick against rivals Manchester United in the derby on Sunday afternoon as the reigning champions secured a 6-3 victory over Erik ten Hag's men.

The Norway international, speaking to Gary Neville on Sky Sports prior to the Manchester derby, admitted that he was desperate to be successful in Europe and win the Champions League with City.

"I think the pressure will be there for footballers no matter what. No matter where you play, Dortmund as well there's pressure - 80,000 at every home game," said Haaland
