Manchester City FIFA 23 rating predictions with big upgrades

After a fantastic season that included a fourth Premier League title in five years, Manchester City could receive big upgrades to their squad in the upcoming FIFA 23 release.

Final day drama saw City lift the league trophy in a great campaign for Pep Guardiola 's side, with the likes of Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri all impressing. Ahead of the new season, City have signed Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips, Manuel Akanji and Stefan Ortega, signings that will really strengthen their side in real life and in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 is set for a worldwide release on Friday, September 30, 2022. The ratings announced at the game's release will be permanent in the Ultimate Game mode, but their rating can either increase or decrease throughout the year based on their real-life performances.

Here's our prediction for Man City's FIFA 23 Ultimate Team ratings, using the FIFA 23 predictions feature on the FUTWIZ website . These ratings are just predictions and have not been confirmed by EA Sports.

Most of the City squad are expected to receive upgrades in FIFA 23, with De Bruyne anticipated to maintain his rating of 91 overall, the highest in the City squad. After stellar campaigns, Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Kyle Walker, Rodri, Silva, Phil Foden, Nathan Ake and Cole Plamer are all expected to increase in rating, with the latter set for a massive upgrade.

New signings Akanji, Alvarez, Ortega and Haaland could all go up in rating ahead of the upcoming FIFA 23 release, whilst Phillips could remain at 81 rated after missing most of last season through injury. There are only a few players that could potentially decrease in rating, with Ederson, Ilkay Gunodgan, Jack Grealish and Scott Carson predicted to receive minor downgrades.

FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
