The country will enjoy a long bank holiday weekend as part of the celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III.
The King will officially be crowned monarch during a ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Saturday while Camilla Parker-Bowles will also become Queen.
To mark the occasion people will get an extra bank holiday on Monday, May 8. As a result opening hours for shops, supermarkets and shopping centres will be different over the bank holiday weekend.

Among those is Manchester's Arndale Centre which has more than 240 stores and a food court. Shops include Aldi, Boots, Deichmann, Foot Locker, Game, JD Sports, Pandora and TK Maxx. The food court also includes eateries such as KFC, McDonald's, Chopstix, Pizza Hut Express and Taco Bell.
Below are the official opening and closing times for the Arndale Centre this weekend. Note that these times are for the centre as whole and individual shops and food stores may have adopted their own opening times for the King's coronation.
Arndale Centre opening times for May 6, 7, and 8
- Saturday May 6 - 9am to 8pm
- Sunday May 7- 11.30am to 5.30pm
- Monday May 8 - 10am to 6pm
Charles ascended the throne in September last year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The coronation will be Britain's first in 70 years and is expected to be steeped in history and tradition.
As well as the coronation on Saturday, there will also be a Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday and a concernt at Windsor Castle on the same day.
