The national forecaster said Wednesday will see "high" levels of pollen, while the pollen count on Thursday will be "very high". Hay fever is an allergic reaction resulting from pollen coming into contact with your mouth, nose, eyes and throat.
Some one in five people in Ireland suffer from symptoms as hay fever is on the rise across the country, according to figures from Asthma.ie. These symptoms include overheated, reactive skin, especially around the nose, and red, stinging, and itchy eyes.
