Former Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli as "refused" an offer to replace Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest, it has been claimed.
Reports from Brazil this week claimed that the 63-year-old had been approached by Forest about the possibility of moving to the City Ground, amid doubts over the future of head coach Steve Cooper.
It's said that Sampaoli was approached by Forest via intermediaries, though had not immediately responded to the offer on the table.

But now, according to Goal Brasil, Sampaoli has "refused" an offer made to him by Forest as he holds out for a job in South America. Their journalist Thiago Fernandes tweeted : "Jorge Sampaoli refused a proposal from Nottingham Forest waiting for a call from Flamengo. The coach dreams of working at the Rio de Janeiro club, but has yet to receive an offer."
He has also been approached by reigning Brazilian champions Flamengo, who he "dreams" of working with. Like Cooper, their boss Vitor Pereira is still in post but his position is far from safe.
With both clubs approaching Sampaoli while having head coaches in position, it means the situation could be fluid and change quickly. But for now, it appears Sampaoli has his heart set on managing in Brazil rather than England.
