Manager confirms imminent Nottingham Forest transfer due in 'next few days'

Rennes manager Bruno Genesio has revealed defender Loic Bade will join Sevilla after his failed loan spell at Nottingham Forest.

Centre-back Bade joined the Reds on loan from French side Rennes in the summer, and has now been recalled without making a single appearance under head coach Steve Cooper. There were reports that Forest made an agreement with Rennes in October not to play Bade, so he could join a new club in January.

He has been heavily linked with a loan move to Sevilla for the past few days, but his manager has now confirmed that the move is set to go ahead.

"At the moment it's not confirmed, but it should happen in the next few days," he said. "I hope so, for him, because he needs to play.

"He didn't play at Nottingham and he needs to find more playing time. For him it would be a great opportunity to do it in a great league like the Spanish one and in a good team like Sevilla, with a good coach."

He added: "Going to a team like Sevilla would be very good for him. It's a good team, although this year it's having a hard time in LaLiga. It's a good opportunity for him to recover, have minutes... and we'll see what happens at the end of the season."
