Man who survived stabbing that killed two says 'I've cried all the tears out my body'

A man who was seriously injured but survived a triple stabbing that claimed two lives has spoken from his hospital bed.

Mason Jordan wrote on social media following the targeted attack early Sunday morning in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.

Two men, one his in the late 20s and one in his late 30s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Patrick Howard was named by locals as one of the two victims as the only-survivor Mason described the "rollercoaster of emotions" he was going through as he paid tribute to him.

Mason, who is in a serious but stable condition, wrote: "Words can’t describe the rollercoaster of emotions I'm going thru rn now you’ve been on my mind all day I've cried all the tears out my body for u till there's not a tear left!

"I love you, my brudda… my killy Patrick Howard and for all the messages n prays I've received it's crazy we on the road to recovery."

Others who knew Patrick paid tribute saying they will love him forever and he will be deeply missed.

Bedfordshire Police say they believe the attack was targeted and that all parties were known to each other.

Police were called to Tithe Farm Road shortly before 1.20am on Sunday following reports of a man being struck by a vehicle.

When they arrived they found three men suffering from stab wounds.

Yesterday, officers arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

When asked if officers had spoken to Mason in hospital, a spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police told The Mirror that the "investigation is progressing".

Police have said the families are being supported by specialist officers.

“We have a dedicated team working on this investigation and are carrying out a range of enquiries in order to bring those responsible to justice.

"People will see an increased police presence in the town over the coming days and we are continuing to offer support to the families affected at this difficult time.

“The investigation team has been greatly assisted by the response from residents, we have received an incredible amount of information from the public. Please do continue to come forward with anything that might be relevant in assisting us to establish who is responsible.

“In a week where forces nationally are responding to knife crime, we are committed to tackling this issue. This incident depicts a level of violence that we will not allow to go unpunished, and equally we will work hard to prevent.”
